Sep 16, 2025September 16, 2025 – Vancouver, BC – With its recent acquisition of WinePulse, Commerce7 has doubled down on its commitment to help wineries sell more, build stronger customer relationships, and make smarter business decisions. Last week at C7 Innovate, Commerce7 unveiled a series of new tools designed to give wineries more insight, intelligence, and control over their direct-to-consumer (DTC) performance.
“Wineries are facing real challenges right now, from shifting consumer habits to rising costs,” said Andrew Kamphuis, President of Commerce7. “We hear these struggles every day, and our focus is on supporting our clients by delivering advanced tools and insights that make it easier to adapt, strengthen customer relationships, and continue growing.”
New Features Announced at C7 Innovate Include:
Insights
Building on the successful beta of its Insights feature in the point-of-sale, Commerce7 has now introduced a platform-wide rollout. Data driven customer insights now appear at key customer touchpoints beyond the point-of-sale, including reservation check in and customer overviews. By expanding the availability of this powerful data, Commerce7 ensures frontline staff have the real-time information they need to provide personalized service to each customer, which drives higher loyalty and sales.
Churn Prediction for Wine Clubs
Using terabytes of anonymized winery data, Commerce7 has built a machine learning model that predicts club member churn with 74 percent accuracy. This new AI model identifies at-risk members early, allowing wineries to take proactive steps to retain them. It is hosted securely within Commerce7’s environment, with no third-party data sharing.
Fraud Prediction
Leveraging Amazon.com’s fraud detection model, Commerce7 can now score each order in real time to help reduce fraud risk. Commerce7 already maintains a fraud rate under 0.025 percent, and this added layer provides wineries with more protection during busy seasons and high-volume sales periods.
MCP Server for Partners
The new Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server allows partners to build AI-powered apps more efficiently. It standardizes how data flows between Commerce7, partner apps, and AI systems, making it easier for developers and more scalable for wineries. MCP is currently in beta.
All New Reporting Suite
The biggest announcement from the event was the acquisition of WinePulse, the wine industry's leading reporting platform. This strategic move brings advanced analytics to all Commerce7 clients at no additional cost for those on current pricing plans. With over 70 reports and 14 dashboards, the acquisition will provide wineries with unprecedented visibility into their sales, club, and customer data.
ChatDTC + AI Query Tools
With the acquisition of WinePulse, ChatDTC is becoming Commerce7’s natural language data tool. It will allow wineries to interact with their data using a simple conversational interface. This feature will be integrated directly into the admin panel, allowing users to generate reports and surface insights by using simple questions and prompts.
Future Focused Initiatives
Commerce7 also shared early-stage concepts in development, including club signup prediction, inventory forecasting, and customer lifetime value estimation. These projects are designed to support smarter segmentation and more accurate benchmarking.
